Billy Barbados is an allround-talent writing theatre-scores and electro-tracks, djing, singing and rapping, acting, directing and illustrating. Billy’s music is just as various as he is: from minimalism to tango, from nervous downbeat to speed-polka. You can call it psycho-country, electronic emocore or just the unique barbados-style. „humorous abstraction – where else could one find that?“ (mieze medusa/orf soundpark)

Billy Barbados was born 1975 in bavaria. Played his first live-gig at the age of 11 with a casio-keyboard and a drumming friend (who now is „warren suicide“). Strolled through life, bands and musical styles to find out, there’s nothing to find out. Billy plays various instruments like piano, guitar, saxophone, accordeon or cello. Won his first national musical award with a score on Schiller’s „Die Raeuber“ in 2005. Composed and produced a musical-soundtrack for „Don Quijote“, theatre-scores for Shakespeare’s „Macbeth“ and Wedekind’s „Lulu“.Programmed techno and hiphop-beats, wrote, sang and rapped lyrics over all genres. Played countless gigs and dj-sets at clubs all over the world.

Billy is actually working on diverse projects, mixing everything up, just like he always does.
